In the adult class you will learn the karate system of Okinawan Gojuryu as passed on to me from my affiliation with Sensei Chuck Merriman and with the Jundokan of Okinawa, Japan. You will learn the basics, kata, and bunkai (applications) of the style. We are not a tournament oriented school and try to keep the classes as close as possible to the teachings of the founder of the Jundokan in Okinawa, Eiichi Miyazato Sensei. Okinawan Gojuryu is a system developed for self-defense. Our dojo and the other affiliates of the Jundokan are like a family that extends around the globe. You will meet new friends, gain self-confidence, get into shape, learn how to protect yourself and your family. Our students are also able to travel to Okinawa to train and learn in the Jundokan.
